Football Recap: Swansboro Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Swansboro unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 27-21 to the South Columbus Stallions on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Swansboro lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kevin Till, who threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. Swansboro also got help from Nolan Armstrong, who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.

Swansboro has already played their next matchup, a 42-14 victory against Pamlico County on the 29th. As for South Columbus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 56-20 win against West Columbus on the 29th.
