Softball Recap: Foster Comes Up Short

Foster has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 2.93 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Pearland Oilers, falling 11-3. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Jordan Tosch and Ariyanna Hernandez did some serious damage despite the final result: Tosch got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Hernandez went 1-for-2 with one home run. That triple marked the first that Tosch hit this season.

Foster's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Pearland, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Foster didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-2 defeat against Katy on the 1st. As for Pearland, they will take on Dawson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
