Basketball Recap: Maine West Comes Up Short

Maine West won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They were dealt a 60-24 defeat at the hands of the Downers Grove North Trojans. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maine West now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Downers Grove North, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maine West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Downers Grove North also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Rolling Meadows at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
