Recap: Booker Kiowas vs. Gruver Greyhounds
The Booker Kiowas suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-48 walloping at the hands of Gruver. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Booker has suffered against Gruver since January 30, 2015.
Booker's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Aguilera, who scored 14 points. Hagen Chisum was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Booker has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Gruver, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Booker will take on Sanford-Fritch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece. As for Gruver, they will head out on the road to square off against Sunray at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
