With a playoff win on the line, Avon Park rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 65-60 W over the Frostproof Bulldogs. The win was familiar territory for the Red Devils who have now won three matches in a row.

Frostproof's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mekhi Guillaume, who went 8 for 20 en route to 22 points and five rebounds. Guillaume's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Powell, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Avon Park's record now sits at 21-3. As for Frostproof, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Avon Park nor Frostproof have any future games scheduled.
