Recap: North Sanpete Hawks vs. Providence Hall Patriots
The North Sanpete Hawks were the 61-54 winner over the Providence Hall Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. North Sanpete fell to Providence Hall 62-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, North Sanpete still got an impressive performance from Dimick Huntington, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Jack Wilkey was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Hall to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Warnick, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Evan Fraser, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
North Sanpete's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Providence Hall, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
North Sanpete will take on Juab at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Juab is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Providence Hall and Grantsville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Grantsville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.3 points per game.
