Basketball Recap: Marquette Catholic Has No Trouble Against Glenn

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Marquette Catholic's strategy against Glenn on Thursday. The Marquette Catholic Blazers enjoyed a cozy 40-23 win over the Glenn Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blazers.

It was another big night for Laniah Davis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games she's played. Addison Penziol was another key player, putting up ten points.

Marquette Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Reese, who posted ten points and three steals.

Marquette Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Glenn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Marquette Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-25 win against Gary West Side on the 17th. As for Glenn, they will take on Argos in a tournament on Wednesday.
