Basketball Recap: Ellensburg Comes Up Short

If Ellensburg was feeling good fresh off their 59-39 takedown of Toppenish last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ellensburg Bulldogs fell 67-58 to the Prosser Mustangs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Mustangs are ranked 35th).

Ellensburg now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Prosser, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Ellensburg has already played their next matchup, an 81-65 loss against Grandview on the 21st. As for Prosser, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-48 victory against East Valley on the 21st.
