Baseball Game Preview: Dock Mennonite Pioneers vs. Neshaminy Skins

The Dock Mennonite Pioneers will head out on the road to face off against the Neshaminy Skins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dock Mennonite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Dock Mennonite fell victim to Holy Ghost Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Firebirds. The Pioneers have struggled against the Firebirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, while Neshaminy put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Abington. The Skins walked away with a 5-0 win over the Galloping Ghosts. The Skins haven't had any issues with the Galloping Ghosts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Jake Sherno and Jared Kligerman dominated on the mound. Sherno tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Kligerman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kligerman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Neshaminy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jason Wilmot, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Wilmot a new career-high. Chase Bonner was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dock Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Neshaminy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
