Basketball Recap: Highland Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Odyssey Institute two weeks ago, Highland Prep came back down to earth. The Honey Badgers were dealt a 71-42 loss at the hands of the ALA - Ironwood Warriors on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Honey Badgers have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Highland Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for ALA - Ironwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Highland Prep will head out to face off against Somerton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for ALA - Ironwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Sentinels have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
