Flag Football Recap: St. Mary's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. Mary's game on Thursday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past the Deer Valley Skyhawks with points to spare, taking the game 23-7. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won four games in a row.

St. Mary's defense made their presence known, laying out Allison Morris four times. In that department, Ariana Manning was the leader with three sacks.

The victory got St. Mary's back to even at 4-4. As for Deer Valley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Coincidentally, St. Mary's and Deer Valley will both be playing Goldwater the next time they take the field. The Skyhawks will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
