King George is a perfect 10-0 against James Monroe since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Foxes will head out on the road to square off against the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. James Monroe took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on King George, who comes in off a win.

King George's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Spotsylvania by a goal, winning 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but King George were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, James Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Spotsylvania. While losing is never fun, James Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Spotsylvania are ranked 120th).

King George's win bumped their record up to 3-10-2. As for James Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

King George took their victory against James Monroe in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Foxes since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
