Basketball Recap: Glenwood Gators vs. Lee-Scott Academy Warriors
Glenwood and Lee-Scott Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Glenwood had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-49 last Monday.

Despite the loss, Glenwood still got an impressive performance from Bobbi Taylor Breazeale, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Taylor Breazeale also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Mimi Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points and six blocks.

Saint James will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Glenwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will square off against Montgomery Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Lee-Scott Academy's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Montgomery Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
