Hempfield hadn't done well against Exeter Township recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Black Knights skirted past the Eagles 30-28. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered a 36-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Exeter Township still got an impressive performance from Leomar Brown, who rushed for 246 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 122 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ware, who picked up 158 receiving yards and one score.

The win got Hempfield back to even at 4-4. As for Exeter Township, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Hempfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 43-13 victory against Cedar Crest on the 17th. As for Exeter Township, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-17 loss against Conestoga Valley on the 17th.
