Liberty Charter has gone 8-2 against Ocean View Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Liberty Charter will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Liberty Charter came out on top against Bonsall on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Legionnaires. Considering the Lions have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty Charter got a big performance out of Angie Carreon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Carreon has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Julia Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Liberty Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.

Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian lost 14-3 to Bonsall on Thursday.

Della Sandoval was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Liberty Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Ocean View Christian, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

Everything went Liberty Charter's way against Ocean View Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Liberty Charter made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
