Softball Recap: St. Mary's Dominican vs. Academy of Our Lady Penguins
St. Mary's Dominican won the last time they faced Academy of Our Lady and things went their way on Thursday too. St. Mary's Dominican came out on top against Academy of Our Lady by a score of 9-6.
Miya Burford looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Raegan Porche and Catherine Andrade did most of the damage at the plate: Porche scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Andrade went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
