Basketball Recap: Weir Takes a Loss

If Weir was feeling good fresh off their 71-44 takedown of Oak Glen last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Weir Red Riders were dealt a 71-42 defeat at the hands of the East Liverpool Potters on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Red Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 592nd in West Virginia, while the Potters are ranked 154th in Ohio).

Weir's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for East Liverpool, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5.

Weir has already played their next matchup (against Brooke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Liverpool has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Wheeling Park.
