New Smyrna Beach came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, but Natalie Ruberte wouldn't allow it. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Barracudas on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2 with plenty of help from Ruberte, who had 18 digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy wouldn't go down easily and took New Smyrna Beach into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Brevard HEAT came tearing into Monday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vipers.

The victory didn't come easy: Space Coast scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Brevard HEAT, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Brevard HEAT in their previous meeting back in October of 2015, winning 3-1. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Firehawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
