Baseball Recap: Mira Mesa Finds Home Field Redemption Against Christian

There's no place like home for Mira Mesa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Christian Patriots on Tuesday by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Marauders have posted since March 21st.

Dylan Pham tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ziggy Avinion was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Graham, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mira Mesa's record now sits at 8-10. As for Christian, they dropped their record down to 12-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Mira Mesa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
