Softball Preview: Calumet New Tech Warriors vs. Wheeler Bearcats
For the second straight game, Calumet New Tech will face off against Wheeler. The Warriors will challenge the Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calumet New Tech comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Calumet New Tech fell victim to Wheeler and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Bearcats.
For Wheeler's part, Nora Howell and Cadence Piunti made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Howell kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Piunti tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.
