Softball Recap: Adirondack Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clinton on Monday, Adirondack came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Mt. Markham Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Adirondack dropped their record down to 8-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mt. Markham, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Adirondack is set to take on their familiar foe Frankfort-Schuyler at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mt. Markham will challenge rival Sherburne-Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
