Softball Recap: Nova Sets Scoring Season-High Against Blanche Ely

Nova got themselves on the board against Blanche Ely on Wednesday, but Blanche Ely never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Blanche Ely Tigers as they made off with a 20-0 win. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dasia Davis made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nova got a massive performance out of Aniya Williams, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jada Corbin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Nova always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Nova's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4. As for Blanche Ely, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nova will take on Flanagan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blanche Ely, they will challenge Fort Lauderdale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
