Preview: St. Joseph Lancers vs. The Prairie School Hawks
The St. Joseph Lancers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against The Prairie School Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. St. Joseph knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully The Prairie School likes a good challenge.
St. Joseph pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 79-58 loss at the hands of St. Thomas More. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Joseph in their matchups with St. Thomas More: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, even though Living Word Lutheran scored an imposing 71 points on Saturday, The Prairie School still came out on top. The Prairie School came out on top in a nail-biter against Living Word Lutheran and snuck past 74-71. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win The Prairie School has posted yet this season.
St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for The Prairie School, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
St. Joseph barely slipped by The Prairie School in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 57-56. Does St. Joseph have another victory up their sleeve, or will The Prairie School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
