Baseball Recap: Taos Takes a Loss

Taos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grants Pirates. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Taos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miguel Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Taos now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Grants, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taos will take on Los Alamos at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Grants, they will square off against Rio Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
