Baseball Preview: Fulshear Chargers vs. Brenham Cubs
The Fulshear Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Brenham Cubs at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Fulshear: 3.6, Brenham: 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Fulshear picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past Lake Creek 9-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Fulshear let Caden Hoff and Luke Betencourt run wild. Hoff scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Betencourt scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Hoff is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Mark Macklin was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brenham). Everything went their way against Somerville on Tuesday as Brenham made off with an 11-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Brenham has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Fulshear's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
