Central Christian won the last time they faced Stafford and things went their way on Friday too. The Central Christian Cougars pulled ahead with a 38-37 photo finish over the Stafford Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Stafford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pablo Diaz, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Lowther, who had seven points in addition to 11 boards and three steals.

Central Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Stafford, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Stafford will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Pretty Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
