There's no place like home for Johnson County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Unaka Rangers on Saturday as they made off with an 18-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carson Jennings was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Johnson County's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 6-1 (and 8-9 when he doesn't). Jennings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brock Jones was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Kaden Blevins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Johnson County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Johnson County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Unaka, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

Johnson County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
