Basketball Recap: Crespi Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crespi can now relate to. They fell 77-64 to the Campbell Hall Vikings on Friday. The Celts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 85-70.

Despite the loss, Crespi still got an impressive performance from Peyton White, who went 10-for-17 on his way to 25 points in addition to five assists and five boards. White's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Barnes, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points.

Even though they lost, Crespi smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Crespi's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Campbell Hall, they pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Crespi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Campbell Hall, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-66 loss against Crean Lutheran on the 18th.
