Baseball Recap: Ambridge Starts off Right with Win over Fort Cherry

Ambridge had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Fort Cherry Rangers by a score of 10-5.

The team relied heavily on Joe Leseiko, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Iorfido, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Coming up, Ambridge is taking a road trip to square off against Ellwood City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Cherry, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Freedom Area at 4:00 p.m.
