Basketball Game Preview: Scotland County Tigers vs. Atlanta Hornets

The Scotland County Tigers will face off against the Atlanta Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Scotland County is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-56 to Schuyler County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Atlanta came up short against Marion County on Tuesday and fell 70-57. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Mustangs are ranked 293rd).

Scotland County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Atlanta, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.
