Mountain View and Kelso are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Thunder will venture away from home to challenge the Hilanders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Mountain View is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since March 19th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Heritage 8-7.

Peyton Lalande spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Emily Palomino was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Laila Reive was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kelso, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Heritage with a sharp 14-0 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hilanders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Kelso is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 5-8.
