Baseball Recap: Exeter Comes Up Short

Exeter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Purdy Eagles. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Exeter now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Purdy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Exeter will challenge Wheaton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Purdy, they will venture away from home to square off against Miller at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
