Volleyball Recap: Ellington Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ellington waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Scott City Rams. The Whippets were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Rams, so the Whippets were just returning the favor.

Megan Copeland paced Ellington's offense, picking up seven kills. Copeland got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 23 assists. Bella Pogue controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Scott City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Ellington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against New Haven on the 13th. As for Scott City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against East Prairie on the 13th.
