Clark's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Antonian Prep Apaches. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 26, 2024.

Heaven Villarreal was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Madyson Martinez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Antonian Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Clark will take on LEE at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Antonian Prep, they will face off against Eagle Pass at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Pass will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Antonian Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
