Granger lost against Taylorsville last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Granger Lancers lost 10-2 to the Taylorsville Warriors. Granger has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Granger saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taufa Tonga, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Tonga has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
On Taylorsville's side, Gabe Wetzel made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Wetzel was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
