Soccer Game Preview: Iroquois vs. Mercer

The Iroquois Braves will head out to take on the Mercer Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mercer took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Iroquois, who comes in off a win.

While Iroquois' victory against Saegertown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves won by a goal and slipped past the Panthers 2-1. Iroquois haven't had any issues with Saegertown recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Donovan Berry and Hunter Chew scored both of Iroquois' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Despite a strong season so far, Mercer has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Slippery Rock.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Iroquois, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Iroquois skirted past Mercer 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
