Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sylvan Hills). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging an 84-48 victory over the Sheridan Yellowjackets. Considering the Bears have won four matchups by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sheridan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zay Stephens, who rushed for 108 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 30 receiving yards and one TD. Stephens' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Another passer making a difference was Easton Barksdale, who threw for 401 yards and five touchdowns.
The win (which was Sylvan Hills' fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points over those games. As for Sheridan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
