Softball Game Preview: Ouachita Warriors vs. Murfreesboro Rattlers

Ouachita is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Murfreesboro a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Ouachita Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Murfreesboro Rattlers at 4:30 p.m. Ouachita has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ouachita lost 16-7 to Harmony Grove last Thursday.

Mylee Crow was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Tynlee Efird also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Murfreesboro had taken Spring Hill down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. Murfreesboro fell just short of Spring Hill by a score of 5-3.

Ouachita's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Murfreesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Ouachita skirted past Murfreesboro 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Will Ouachita repeat their success, or does Murfreesboro has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
