Basketball Recap: Sigourney Comes Up Short

If Sigourney was riding high fresh off their 74-35 takedown of Moravia last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sigourney Savages fell 60-52 to the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes on Monday. The Savages were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Reds/Redettes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Sigourney's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Coming up, Sigourney will look to defend their home court on February 18th against WACO. As for Centerville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-37 victory against Chariton on the 15th.
