Basketball Game Preview: Providence Catholic Provets vs. St. Anthony Yellowjackets

The Providence Catholic Provets are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Anthony Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Providence Catholic came up short against St. Joseph Academy on Friday, falling 50-25. While losing is never fun, the Provets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1564th, while the Bloodhounds are ranked 457th).

Meanwhile, St. Anthony earned a 46-37 victory over St. Augustine on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Providence Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-29.

Providence Catholic took a serious blow against St. Anthony in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-35. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of St. Anthony's Laura Sierra, who dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 12 boards, and 11 blocks.
