Baseball Recap: Rainier Columbians vs. Westside Christian Eagles

Rainier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westside Christian Eagles. The Columbians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Q Jackson and Matthew Chambers stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jackson went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Chambers got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Rainier now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Westside Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
