Recap: Pueblo Central Wildcats vs. Pueblo South Colts
The Pueblo Central Wildcats entered their tilt with the Pueblo South Colts with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Pueblo Central simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pueblo South 47-7 on the road. With Pueblo Central ahead 21-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Amari Brown, who rushed for 198 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Pueblo Central also got a significant boost from Josiah Barela, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
Pueblo Central's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points per game. As for Pueblo South, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.
Pueblo Central will take on Northfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Pueblo South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
