Basketball Recap: Leggett Pirates vs. Goodrich Hornets
After flying high against Spurger last Tuesday, Leggett came back down to earth. The Leggett Pirates took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goodrich Hornets. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 67-12.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tamera Henderson, who posted 16 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Henderson is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Na'Ilah Jordan, who put up 15 points and eight rebounds.

Brookeland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Goodrich likes a good challenge.
