Volleyball Recap: Randolph Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Randolph had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Parkview Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Saturday.

Randolph walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-27, 25-19, 25-19.

Randolph found their leader in sophomore Annika Reed, who had 28 digs and four aces. Those 28 digs set a new season-high mark for Reed.

Randolph was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last ten matchups.

Randolph's victory bumped their record up to 17-21. As for Parkview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-22 record this season.

Randolph will challenge Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. Parkview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
