MacArthur and Jacksonville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Generals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crimsons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

MacArthur fell victim to Champaign Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 24-0 to the Maroons.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville made easy work of North Mac on Monday and carried off a 10-3 win. The Crimsons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Kenzie Law made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jacksonville got a massive performance out of Chase Neice, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Neice a new career-high. Maci Moore was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Jacksonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Jacksonville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8-1. As for MacArthur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
