Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against Lowell back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lincoln fell just short of Lowell by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since March 7, 2024.

Lincoln saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Castaneda, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Castaneda a new career-high.

Lincoln dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lowell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-4 win against Balboa on the 24th. As for Lowell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-1 loss against Aragon on the 22nd.
