The Clay Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Ross Little Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Clay extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jadyn Kennedy. The Eagles put the hurt on Findlay with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday for which the team can thank Kennedy, who had 15 digs and four assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.
Clay not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Findlay between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.
Meanwhile, Ross made easy work of Start on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Little Giants haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ross took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-1, 25-4.
Ross' win came from a few key players Clay will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ryla Smith, who had five aces and three digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brook Baacke, who had 11 digs and five aces.
Ross was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Clay's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Ross, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
Clay beat Ross 3-1 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Little Giants have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
