Baseball Recap: Tompkins Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tompkins can now relate to. They came up short against the George Ranch Longhorns on Thursday, falling 15-1. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Tompkins has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-11 record this season. As for George Ranch, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-11-2.

While Tompkins had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
