Basketball Recap: Lodi Flames vs. Monterey Trail Mustangs        
        
		
             After flying high against Manteca  last Saturday, Lodi came back down to earth. The Lodi Flames took  a  58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monterey Trail Mustangs on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flames of the  81-62 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in December of 2021.
 Lodi's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sean Tetz, who  posted six points plus seven  rebounds and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Jackson Butler, who  had nine points.
 Even though they lost, Lodi  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  matches.
 Monterey Trail's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Derron White led the charge by  shooting 4-for-7  from downtown and  dropping  a double-double on 14 points and 11  assists. What's more,  White also racked up four  threes, the most he's  had since back in January.  Rashawn Inglemon was another key player,  going 7 for 17 en route to 19 points plus seven  rebounds.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Lodi  fell to 3-1. As for Monterey Trail,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Lodi has already played their next matchup,  a  68-42  win against Granada on the 5th. As for Monterey Trail, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  an  83-46  victory against Bear Creek on the 4th.
