Bluffton took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against May River, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Sharks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since October 15, 2024.

Bluffton was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Bluffton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for May River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Coming up, Bluffton will head out on the road to take on Hilton Head Island at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for May River, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hanahan on the 29th.
